We all make our rooms our own, but these ReStore customers took it to the next level! Their thrifty ingenuity really paid off in these impressive redesigned rooms.
ReStore volunteer, donor and shopper, Geoff Bourne, purchased all the wall cabinets in his beautiful old St. Albans home at the ReStore. Aren’t you jealous of his storage?
The McClure Family
The McClure family needed space to work. So, they turned their sun room into an office with the purchase of a few ReStore file cabinets and counter tops.
2016 ReDesign by ReStore winner, Shari Mamone, loves color and you can tell from her gorgeous dining room redesign. Not only did the dining table chairs come from the ReStore, the hutch and side chair did too! Read more about Shair’s winning redesign here.
Tiffany is a woman of many talents. One includes her impressive ability to design and install a band new kitchen using cabinets and tile she purchased at the ReStore.
What a find! Tom purchased this beautiful antique mantel and bookshelf unit at the ReStore many years ago. He refinished the unit before installing it in his well-appointed family room. We love Tom’s eclectic style and mix of antiques and modern art.
So maybe this isn’t technically a room, BUT… we love Aimee’s camper redesign so much we had to include it in our list. How much fun would it be to go “glamping” in Aimee’s redesigned Crazy Daisy?
We also love the makeover ReStore shopper Leigh Anne Watts gave her living room.
This volunteer opportunity benefits Habitat for Humanity, your neighbors and your family!
What is Repurpose for a Purpose?
Repurpose for a Purpose Subdivision Donation Drive is a project of Habitat for Humanity of Kanawha & Putnam and the new Teays Valley ReStore. The intention of this project is to organize and maximize additional ReStore donations from Putnam County subdivisions during scheduled donation drive days within specific subdivisions.
The donations from Repurpose for a Purpose – just like all ReStore donations – will generate revenue through ReStore sales that will then go back to furthering the mission of Habitat for Humantiy – building homes, community and hope.

What Do Captains Do?
We ask captains to contact homeowners associations for permission, distribute event information through subdivision contact lists and email, utilize social media and place informational materials.
Two Putnam County artists have created one-of-a-kind art as a gift to our subdivisions captains. Volunteers will be able to choose from either a handcrafted necklace by Ricardina Jewelry Designs or a numbered print from JP Owners Art. Volunteer Captains will also receive an invitation to our private Captain’s Party in October.
